Cosmetic treatmentMedicare rebates are only available where treatment is medically indicated. If your veins are being treated for appearance alone, no rebate applies and the full fee is payable.
Number of sessionsMost vein problems need more than one session. How many depends on the size and extent of your veins, and is set out in your treatment plan.
ReferralsNo GP referral is needed for a consultation. A referral is required to claim a Medicare rebate on a detailed mapping scan.
